AMANDA- she/her
Amanda has spent over 20 years as a grassroots activist in Spokane, leading her to found Spokane Dissidents with her long-time friend Jessica. From protesting the Iraq War to now, she has worked hard to stand up for her community, and progressive action here, and around the world. Her strong beliefs in equity, equality, and collective progress remain her North Star.

JESSICA-she/her/weird barbie
Jessica is a founding member of Spokane Dissidents. She believes it has never been more important than now to become involved in our communities to build a better today and tomorrow. She believes we can shape this country into a place that works for us if we work together.
CHERAYA- she/her
Cheraya was originally recruited for Safety Marshal duties, but moved up into the core circle. She was raised by a family of activists, and has had a first row seat to the fight for freedom and equality through the generations. Her life has been filled with a constant awareness of the injustices in the US, and she has fought every time she could; even in a wrap on her mother's back. She thinks it is important to continue that fight, and start swing harder, now that we are regressing back.
CHANDRA- she/her
As a grassroots activist, Chandra's main mission is to build community, while fostering a safe space for people to connect, share, and learn. She has been involved in activism and protesting with her son, James; and she believes to make real change, we need to come together to connect our next generation of free thinkers with our wise elders, as they have so much to teach each other as we all push forward.

NATE- he/him
Nate is your classic peace-loving Canadian Hippie who can't help but see the injustices happening all around us, and has dedicated himself to supporting change. Like his parents before him, who stood up against the Vietnam War and the disastrous Nixon Administration, Nate finds himself ready to use his privilege, as a middle-aged white cis male, to benefit those without it. He wants to make the world a better place for his transgender son and son-in-law.
